Backstamps

On this page are two sets of information – the backstamps used in production, and a list of initials of painters to be found on items

Backstamps Used During Production

These are the backstamps that we believe were used during the various production phases of the porcelain. The Gallery of Vases and other items is split into different sets to show which were used at what time.

If you have any Highbank item with another backstamp we would love to hear from you.

They are ordered by the date we think they were in use – not by number

The Ardfern backstamp has been added as the vase we have found matches the early Highbank ones – this is being investigated but we do know that Stamp 3 was designed by Alistair Allport of Ardfern – if you have any info please let us know.

Artists Initials

We are building the list of artists initials to be found on items but need your help to fill this in, or maybe you have other items with new initials, then we would like to know.
